WebFeb 7, 2011 · The DOVE-C is a good cylinder head, but the D3VE is almost as capable if you do the right work to them so don't rule them out as a crappy head. Check out reincarnation-automotive.com and pay the $20 dollars for access to the porting files, it's worth the money and has great pictures showing what you need.

The open chambered heads are considered anything from D3VE and later with cc volume greater than 90cc's, or I believe. I had no problem doing it. Just make sure to wear googles and a mask. The amount of shavings that fling out of there are amasing. I had to stop a few times to wipe the googles off.
